Shipment Statuses

At Direct Global Logistics, we understand the importance of transparency and real-time tracking for your shipments. That’s why we provide detailed information on the various shipment statuses you may encounter throughout the delivery process. These statuses allow you to know exactly where your package is and at which stage of the process it currently stands.

Common Shipment Statuses

Here are the most common shipment statuses you can track on our platform:

1. Order Received

  • Meaning: The order has been registered by the seller or logistics provider. The preparation of the package has not yet begun.

2. Order in Preparation

  • Meaning: The seller is preparing the package for shipment (packaging, labeling, etc.). The package has not yet been picked up by the carrier.

3. Package Picked Up by Carrier

  • Meaning: The package has been collected by the carrier (e.g., La Poste, DHL, UPS). The delivery process has officially begun.

4. Package in Transit

  • Meaning: The package is on its way to its destination. It may be in a warehouse, sorting center, or en route (by truck, plane, ship, etc.).

5. Package Arrived at Sorting Center

  • Meaning: The package has reached a local or regional sorting center. It is being sorted for redirection to its final destination.

6. Out for Delivery

  • Meaning: The package is out for final delivery to the recipient. The delivery driver is on the way to bring the package to the specified address.

7. Delivery Successful

  • Meaning: The package has been delivered to the recipient. The delivery process is complete.

8. Delivery Attempt Failed

  • Meaning: The delivery driver was unable to deliver the package (recipient absent, incorrect address, etc.). A new delivery attempt will be made, or the package will be returned to the warehouse.

9. Package Returned to Warehouse

  • Meaning: The package could not be delivered and has been returned to the distribution center. The recipient may need to contact the carrier to reschedule delivery or pick up the package.

10. Package Held at Customs

  • Meaning: For international shipments, the package is awaiting customs clearance. Customs fees or additional documentation may be required.

11. Package Delayed

  • Meaning: The package has been delayed due to logistical issues (weather, strikes, etc.). Delivery will take longer than expected.

12. Package Delivered to Pickup Point

  • Meaning: The package has been dropped off at a pickup location (e.g., post office, partner store). The recipient must go to the pickup point to collect their package.

13. Package Returned to Sender

  • Meaning: The package could not be delivered and has been sent back to the sender. This may happen after multiple failed delivery attempts or if the recipient refuses the package.

14. Package Lost

  • Meaning: The package could not be located by the carrier. An investigation is usually opened to attempt to recover the package.

15. Package Damaged

  • Meaning: The package was damaged during transit. The recipient or sender must contact the carrier to report the issue.
